Is the Most Wonderful time of the Year!

Christmas came and left!

I love Christmas and so do you girls....well what toddler doesn't!

This year you girls helped us decorate the Christmas tree and we made Rudolph the red nose reindeer ornaments as a family.

We all enjoyed this, I think you girls more, Seylah's jumping led me to believe that :)

We also made little snow men ornaments and trough the month those little hands of yours couldn't help but touch the ornament over and over even after I said not to so many times.

And of course we let you both put the star on the tree.

Our little place was all Christmas out....that after Christmas I couldn't wait to take everything down.

We actually threw away both Christmas tree. It was a bitter sweet moment for me because the main tree was your daddy's and I's first Christmas tree together. And the other one was a gift that totally electrocuted me when I unplugged it so it went out!

So this year we are going to try on a real Christmas tree....I can't wait! As for your tree we are gonna get either one or two little ones so you girls can decorated.

So the best part was first your papa and mama came to visit from Chicago and it was our first time celebrating Christmas with my side of the family. It was actually my first time dividing Christmas between your dad's family and mines......it was rough, but I know what to do next time.

We first celebrated with my side of the family and we had a brunch at Arizaida's.....

Surprisingly we didn't take much pics! :(

With the Santiagos we usually have a Christmas talent show....and not to brag or anything but I think we totally won....not that anyone is counting!

Your daddy and I are a great team when we put our heads together.

The talent show was a little short video called "A Snow White Story" Your dad recorder and directed and I edited.

And Jay has been wanting to make ugly Christmas sweaters since before it was popular. So we worked on that too. Once again Jay thought about what to do and I made them.

The theme was "Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer"

The guys were the Bumble and the little guys were Yukon Cornelius and the girls Rudolph!
Here are the Ugly Christmas Sweaters.....

I love Matthew's face here!

Christmas Day opening gifts!

Seylah You were very surprise when you saw Santa!

Emma you said "Papi you're so silly" LOL

Over all Christmas was magical with the exception of another year that everyone was sick! But most importantly we were sick.....together LOL!

Until next Christmas.....not sure what should be our talent show to top last years!

Love you girls

Thanksgiving

I have totally slack on this thing we call a blog!

Thanksgiving passed, Christmas passed, new years passed....my birthday passed :) and I have not written to you girls.

I do admit you girls have done so much I hope I can remember.

So let's start with Thanksgiving. We spend it with my side of the family.
We ate good food, played games and had a great time.

This was the very fist time Sinatra step paws in my parents house and actually slept over.

And yous two look so cute with your little outfits...as always :)

I was going to post Christmas pictures and all, but I think that all deserves a whole new post.
So until next one :)

Love you girls

My girls

I often stare at you,
and can't help but smile.

People always tell me "they grow up so fast, so enjoy them"
And at times I feel like I don't

But most of the time... I do.
And I stare at you so intensely
So that I can remember that moment.

You make me laugh
You make me cry
You make me mad
But you always melt my heart.

Yes you are growing up so fast,
But this mamma is a blessed mom,

To be able to see you grow each day,
to see your progress,
to see your accomplishments,
to see your excitement,
to see your sweet side.

Oh how priceless!
I wouldn't trade it for anything in the world.

To many more priceless memories.

I love you to the moon and beyond!!!

Princess Emma is 4

Four....how can a number mean so much?

Four years that God has bless us with such a beautiful, bright, spunky, sweet, funny, special little girls.

Is crazy how four years have gone by in a flash!

My Emma I am so proud to be your mom, I know you are only four years old today but there is something so special about you. And I know that God is guiding your steps and mines too because I have the privilege to teach you and guide you according to God's word.

So here's a little prayer on your day...

For your special day I didn't go all out like I normally do, but I did do something small. And I know that you wanted the frozen theme.

I do feel bad that I didn't do much for Seylah, but she's still to small to understand.

Although you girls where fighting "is my birthday" no is mine" yeah that went on for a while :)

I invited your little neighbors and Elliott's family to come sing happy birthday and eat cake.

Small and simple....and less messy for me :)

Happy Birthday my sweet girl!
Love you 2 the moon and beyond!

Mamma

Moms' Night Out

I just finished watching the movie "Moms' Night Out"

I totally need a moms' night out....maybe not as crazy as the movie, but definitely with no little girls around. :)

I could utterly relate to the main character named Allyson played by Sarah Drew.
Through the whole movie I was saying "that is me, that is me, that is me"!

Like Allyson all I wanted to be when I was little was a mom....here I Am a mom today and

I'm not happy!

I'm not enough!

I'm a failure!

I've said it so many times in my head that I actually believe it.

My throat tighten and my vision got blurry as the tears began to fall down my face when Allyson said to the biker/tattoo guy Bones played by Trace Adkins "I Am not enough"

This is me?! I AM not enough, not for my husband, or my girls or my sisters, my parents....

IAm not enough for me!!!!

I realize this has got to stop, my talking down to myself has got to stop and I gotta begin to speak life into my life not distruction....of course it will take time, but for now this is a start.

I AM enough.....for God!

And that should be good enough for me.

I know as a mom I'm probably not the only one who goes trough this, who thinks this way.
Our kids drive us nuts, to the point where you actually think your going crazy...and to an extent I think is a little true. LOL
We try to do and take care of everything, we stress ourselves out! Even for the little stuff.

And for some homemakers is rough to balance everything.

Homemaker or not we can't do it all.

I think as soon as we realize that.....we would be in a much better place, mentally and emotionally.

I know God has something in store for me. I can feel it, I can start seeing the change!

And I can't wait!

So if you are a mom and you haven't seen "Moms' Night Out" You've gotta see it!

And if like me you put yourself down with your own words and thoughts....

You gotta stop!

Speak life into your life, speak God's truth, stop your stinking thinking!

But we can't do it alone, not only do we need our heavenly Father's help, but we need to share what we are going through with other women, other believers.

I have been praying to God for a Godly friendship to come along.....after a year I believe God has answered my prayer and doubled it up :)

God is good!!!!

As women we need that kind of friendship, the ones that lift you up when you're down, and speak life into you, encourage and help you enjoy this journey called life.

At the end of the movie they focus in on the kids and sometimes that is how I look at my girls..... I do what I do for them, because they are the future and is my responsibility to bring them up right!

Our jobs as moms........Is Important!

And our kids are all worth it!

Before I say goodnight I want to pray a little prayer for me and if you can relate then by all means pray with me!

Heavenly Father I come before you Lord asking you to show me how to take control of my mind. Your word says we must learn to bring every thought into captivity. So help me Lord and remind me that I don't have to entertain those nasty thoughts in my head and replace them with your truth! As I read your Word, may it reveal any wrong thinking in me. May your Word be so etched in my mind that I will be able to identify the enemies lies. You have given me authority over all the power of the enemy as your Word says in Luke 10:19, and so I command the enemy to get away from my mind. I refuse to listen to lies.
Thank You, Lord, that I have the mind of Christ (1 Corinthians 2:16). Let your thoughts be my thoughts, show me where I have filled my life with anything that is ungodly. Help me to think upon what is true, noble, right, pure, lovely of good report, virtuous, and praiseworthy (phil 4:8) I lay claim to the sound mind that You have given me (2 Tim 1:7) In Your name I pray....Amen!

PS Please share your thoughts with this mamma! :)

I have two 3 year old! YIKES!!!

Today my little Seylah, your three!
You have grown up so fast I can't believe your 3.

I want to say you are finally potty trained after a year of attempt....but you still have some mistakes, Although they have substantially decreased (thank you Jesus) accidents still happen.
Nevertheless you have made progress and naps are pipi free!

We just gotta work on nights.

You are definitely talking a whole lot more and sometimes you don't want to stop. You like to play by yourself a lot, but you also like to play with Emma, even though you fight a lot....but that's normal.

I love how you say "sorry" even when Emma has to do the apologizing. And you girls kiss and make up quickly....is a love/hate relationship with yous 2.

You know how bad I am at remembering all that you do, but what I do remember is;

  • you give big tight hugs (oh how i love those)
  • you melt mommy's heart when i'm upset and you say "i'm sorry a kissie"
  • you scream really loud for everything
  • you really don't like to share especially with the neighbor's girls
  • you like to be ahead of us when walking sinatra
  • you like to seat and "read"  books
  • you like alone time with mami and papi
  • you say "i'm talking to mami" with a mad tone if emma interrupts you
  • you really like to test me...a lot!
  • you like to workout
  • you like to open the fridge and grab cheese, milk, apples and grapes
Well that's pretty much what I do remember.
So here's to another year of seeing you grow and learn and explore!

Love always and forever!

Pinterest I love you!

My love for Pinterest!

I remember the day I was introduce to Pinterest.

It was a long summer day....Jk

I opened my computer and subscribe to it, at first I had no idea what this was....but I quickly understood and then.....

I was hooked!

I remember saying "where the heck was this things a couple years ago!!!!!" Especially for my wedding.

So that night I went to bed super late, doing what we all piners do best....

Yup that was me...pinning away!

I know I'm not the only victim of this pinerholic phobia I have, many among you have it!

And I LOVE IT =) LOL

I have made and done lot's of things on my board but there is sooooooo much more to go.
Sometimes all the time this is how I feel though!

Well lets see what other project I will do next....

Until next time!
Pin away bloggers =)

My first child turns 5

I still remember the time we brought him home!

Now that he is older he has gotten better, however he does have an attitude....can you believe that?!
And there he is....sleeping! (such a teenager)

Five 1/2 lb, scared, wimping....clawing at my chest, because my passenger (niece Yareliz) was afraid to hold him.

Sinatra has grown to be part of this family!

In the beginning I had second thoughts of having a dog, but there is no question in my mind that we made the right decision...in fact I want another dog, preferably a teacup.

Although there were times I wanted to get rid of my dog (when my girls were born)....but when I really thought about it, tears would well up in my eyes!

Needless to say those thoughts are long gone =)

I remember the first time I left him home alone. I went to the movies with my sister in-law and my mother in-law...and I was crying LOL!

Yeah can you say attachment issues!!!!

He has been such a good companion especially when my hubby is not around and visa-versa.
I couldn't ask for a better dog.

When he get's in trouble we scold him and he lowers his head and body....He totally looks so cute!!!

He is a funny, cute dog....although he cuddles when ever he wants to when is convenient for him...I wish he would cuddle a bit more.

Now he greets you with excitement for a bit jumps on you licks ya....and then he's gone, and we are wondering where he is at sometimes.

Even though he is five years old he still looks like a pup...he's the cutest thing.

Our little baby dog...one of the many names my husband likes to call him.

Happy Birthday Sinatra!

The little things you do

It feels like forever!
I have been so busy lately and I have neglected writing to you girls.
Nevertheless writing to you girls is always in my mind.

Lately you both have been driving me nuts...but I guess that's part of being a mom.

Before I forget, this is what Seylah has been saying lately;

  • leave me alone
  • woopi "movie"
  • I lou you
  • and you know this one (my favorite) hankers for "hold my hand"
  • seepi me "sleep with me"
  • pilow "play dough"
  • wach that wach that, (what's) you say it 2x and fast! lol
  • listen
  • guys

As for Emma.....what don't you say!!!!
I swear you think you are a grown women sometimes. The other day you said you wanted to be bigger like mami and papi....
YIKES!
You wanna grow up on me way to fast!
These are the things you say that I can remember;

  • because....A LOT
  • mami that's not nice
  • I wanna eat something else
  • hit Seylah, she's being bad

You are my little independant girlie. I can see that you are a leader and you are likable by kids a bit older than you.
There is just something about you that people just like to be around you. Your very  friendly and charismatic, and very strong will. It's your way or the highway.
However that last part does not fly with mommy, so you get your share of timeouts and spanking.
I do give in sometimes, if I see is not a big deal but most of the time...is my way :) (like it should be)LOL!

I know there is more I just can't remember, but is better sometimes to show you than to explain.

Love always
Mom
